American University of Armenia Admission Requirements 2027

The American University of Armenia in Yerevan, founded in 1991, teaches in English at bachelor's and master's level. International undergraduates in the Fall 2027 cycle pay AMD 4,450,000 a year, or AMD 4,950,000 for business and economics, before financial aid, and graduate programmes cost international students AMD 3,750,000 to AMD 4,860,000 a year in 2027-2028. International Scholarships cover up to 50% of tuition.

English test waiver

Graduate applicants are assessed against target scores of TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS Academic 6.5, and applicants below TOEFL iBT 68 (old format), 4 on the TOEFL format used from 21 January 2026, or IELTS 6.0 are automatically denied; scores in between may lead to conditional admission. Undergraduate applicants are automatically denied below TOEFL iBT 76 (old format), 4 (new format), IELTS Academic 6.0, SAT English 550 or ACT English 43. Scores must be from a test taken less than two years before the application. Applicants who studied full time for at least two consecutive years of the previous five at a school or university where English is the main language of instruction can request a waiver.
