Aarhus School of Architecture Admission Requirements 2027

Aarhus School of Architecture is a specialised state architecture school offering a two-year Master of Arts in Architecture taught in English to holders of a Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent; its bachelor's level teaching is in Danish only. Non-EU applicants apply directly to the school by 1 February for a September start and pay EUR 18,000 a year unless exempt.

Requirements

Master (the only full degree route open to non-EU applicants)

A completed Bachelor of Architecture or an equivalent recognised architecture degree is required; the bachelor's level at Aarhus School of Architecture is taught in Danish and does not have a non-EU full degree admission route. English proficiency: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 91, a Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency certificate, or a bachelor's degree already completed in English.

How to apply

  1. Confirm you hold, or will hold before enrolment, a Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent degree.
  2. Apply through the school's international master's applicant portal by 1 February for a September start.
  3. Short-listed applicants are notified in week 8 for a second evaluation round.
  4. Admission decisions are released in week 15.
  5. Pay the EUR 18,000 annual tuition, unless exempt, and submit your English test result by 1 June.
  6. Attend the mandatory orientation for international students on 29 August, ahead of teaching starting 1 September.

English test waiver

Applicants who already completed a full bachelor's degree taught in English, or who hold a Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency certificate, are not required to submit a separate IELTS or TOEFL score.
