Requirements
Bachelor
A qualifying exam from outside the EU/EEA is assessed individually, generally alongside one year of further or supplementary education; each programme sets subject requirements at Danish upper secondary A, B or C level. English proficiency at English B level for English taught programmes.
Master
A relevant bachelor's degree meeting the specific programme's prerequisites. English proficiency at English B level: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (at least 6.0 per section), TOEFL iBT 85 (at least 20 per section), or Cambridge C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency at 180 or grade C; MyBest Scores and the IELTS One Skill Retake are not accepted.
Documents
Passport copy, secondary school or degree transcripts and certificates, proof of English proficiency, a record of any further or supplementary education, and, for non-EU/EEA/Swiss applicants, proof of the EUR 150 application fee payment.
How to apply
- Check the entry requirements and language of instruction for the chosen programme on Aalborg University's own pages.
- Apply through optagelse.dk for a bachelor's programme, or directly through Aalborg University for a master's programme.
- Non-EU/EEA/Swiss applicants pay the EUR 150 application fee and submit documents by 15 March (bachelor's) or 15 January (master's).
- EU/EEA/Swiss applicants and tuition exempt applicants submit master's applications by 1 March; bachelor documentation for qualifications still in progress is due by 1 May.
- Receive the admission decision; fee paying master's applicants are answered by 10 April.
- Accept the offer, pay the first semester's tuition if required, and apply for a Danish residence permit for study through SIRI.
