TOEFL Requirement for Malaysia Universities: Minimum Score

Computed from this project's own sample: Universiti Sains Malaysia and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS both state TOEFL iBT 40 as their general undergraduate floor. Universiti Malaya's equivalent is stated as 500 PBT / 173 CBT / 60 iBT. Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's Faculty of Medicine postgraduate secretariat publishes 60 to 79 iBT depending on programme, which is a narrower, higher figure than a general undergraduate floor. Most of the private universities and foreign branch campuses in this sample publish only an IELTS number and accept TOEFL as an alternative without a separately stated iBT score.
