TOEFL Requirement for China Universities: Minimum Score

Computed from this project's own sample of 10 published Chinese universities researched for this file: TOEFL iBT 80 is the most common stated floor (Tsinghua's representative graduate figure, Wuhan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Normal University's master's programmes, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology all state 80), Nanjing University's English major states 70, Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Global College states 90, Tongji University's undergraduate English taught track states 85, and Peking University's English taught graduate programmes state 100. Most bachelor's degree programmes at these universities are taught in Chinese and instead ask for an HSK certificate, commonly HSK Level 5 with a score of at least 180.
