How to Apply to Universities in Uzbekistan (2027): Step by Step

Foreign students in Uzbekistan receive a student entry visa, issued for up to one year at the request of their educational institution, on the basis of an invitation submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and considered within four working days. A single-entry visa for up to one year costs USD 160. At Westminster International University in Tashkent, international undergraduates pay UZS 54,600,000 (about USD 4,484) a year from 2026/27.

Degree study in Uzbekistan

  1. Apply to the university (WIUT's 2026/27 undergraduate and postgraduate deadline was 17 August 2026).
  2. The university submits an invitation-application to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which considers it within four working days.
  3. Apply at the embassy with passport, two application forms and two 35 x 45 mm photos.
  4. Pay the visa fee, for example USD 160 for a single-entry visa of up to one year.
