Scholarships to Study in Slovakia (2027)

Slovakia's Comenius University teaches General Medicine and Dentistry in English at two medical faculties, charging EUR 11,500 to EUR 14,500 a year, and runs English bachelor's and master's programmes from EUR 1,800 a year. Admission to medicine is by online biology and chemistry exams held several times a year. A student gets temporary residence for the purpose of study with no application fee, may work up to 80 hours a month, and can stay nine months after graduating to look for work.

The Slovak Ministry of Education runs scholarships for talented international students under the Slovakia programme, paying EUR 500 a month; the 2025 round required a SAT score of at least 1,100, and a notice posted by the Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava in July 2026 described scholarships of up to EUR 15,000 for programmes within Slovakia's smart specialisation strategy, with applications closing on 31 July 2026. Comenius University and its medical faculties publish no scholarships of their own for international degree students.
