Lithuanian universities run their own tuition waivers for international students. Vilnius University awards full tuition waivers to the five most motivated non-EU applicants to its English- or Russian-taught masters, with a 1 April 2026 deadline, the first year's fee still payable. VILNIUS TECH offers tuition-free and 50% and 25% scholarships to bachelor's and master's applicants with strong results, applied for by 20 April 2026. KTU considers every applicant automatically for full or partial tuition waivers, closing with the 1 June deadline.
The Lithuanian state scholarship for full-time master's study, run by the Education Exchanges Support Foundation, pays EUR 592 a month in 2026 plus study costs up to the national standard, for 70 students from a list of eligible countries, with a 20 April 2026 deadline. The list includes Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and several Caucasus and Central Asian countries but not Bangladesh, India, Pakistan or Nepal. Holders must learn Lithuanian to A1 level in the first year.
