  1. Choose a programme and check its fee group. Lithuanian universities price programmes by field, so the fee table tells you the cost.
  2. Check the deadline for non-EU applicants. For autumn 2026 it was 1 May at Vilnius University, 1 June at KTU and 15 June at VILNIUS TECH. The 2027 dates had not been published when this page was checked.
  3. Apply online and pay the EUR 100 fee. It is not refunded.
  4. Take any required tests. Applicants from some school systems, including Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal, must take the OMPT mathematics test; Architecture and Medicine have their own entrance tests.
  5. Apply for university scholarships early. Vilnius University's master's waivers closed on 1 April 2026 and VILNIUS TECH's scholarships on 20 April 2026, earlier than admission.
  6. After admission, the university files an invitation with the Migration Department and you apply for a temporary residence permit for study.
