How to Apply to Universities in Bangladesh (2027): Step by Step

Bachelor's degree at a GST cluster public university

1. Wait for HSC results and that year's joint GST admission circular at gstadmission.ac.bd.
2. Register and submit one application covering the participating universities and units the circular allows.
3. Pay the application fee through the portal's payment options.
4. Sit the GST written test for the chosen unit (A, B or C) on the date the circular sets.
5. Check the merit list and confirm a seat at the specific university and subject offered.

Bachelor's degree at Dhaka, Rajshahi, Jahangirnagar, Chittagong, BUET or a regional engineering university

1. Wait for that specific university's own admission circular on its own admission portal.
2. Apply online for one unit or faculty before the stated closing date and pay the fee that circular names.
3. Sit the written admission test that university sets.
4. Check that university's own merit list and complete enrolment if offered a seat.

Bachelor's degree at a private university

1. Check the university's own admission office page for the next of its three intakes (commonly Spring, Summer or Fall).
2. Submit SSC and HSC (or equivalent) transcripts, meeting the GPA, O/A-Level or diploma threshold the university states.
3. Sit the university's own admission test, or claim the waiver most private universities offer above a stated SAT, IELTS or TOEFL score.
