BUET Admission Circular 2023-24

BUET Admission Circular 2023-24 has been published recently. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology admission will be held very soon. BUET is one of the best universities in Bangladesh for engineering studies. BUET has a post-graduation and under-graduation program for admission and education. Pre-selection tests for students in Level-1, and Term-1 in different departments under different faculties in the Bangladesh University of Engineering in the 2023-24 academic year/session will be held on2024, and the final admission test on  2024.

Admission Eligibility for BUET (Under Graduate Program)

BUET is the leading Engineering University, so the candidate must have high educational qualifications to be admitted to the university. • Applicant must have completed SSC in 2020-21 and HSC in 2022-2023
  Or, Complete GCE “O” after November 2022 level and GCE “A” level November 2023

Available Seat Per Department

A total of 1215 students can admit per session in BUET. Architecture engineering has a five years course. And the others need four years to complete graduation. There are five faculties in BUET.

Faculties of Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, and Architecture engineering. All of the faculties have separate departments. Here is the table of the seat system of BUET.

How to Apply for Admission to BUET

The interested applicant has to apply for admission to BUET online. Go to the official website of BUET (buet.ac.bd). Please fill out the online application form with valid information and submit it.

After that, you will get an Application Serial no. You have to pay your admission fees through Mobile Banking (Sonali Bank/ Nagad/ Rocket/ bKash) any online mobile pay against the application serial no.

Payment of Application Fee

Candidates for two sections, “K” and “KHA,” have to pay a separate application fee. Not the same amount for everyone. Here is the difference between ‘KA’ and ‘KHA.’

The applicant can pay the application fee using Teletalk prepaid SIM or Mobile Banking. Here are the instructions for the Teletalk payment system.

• Write BUET<space>Application Number (6-digit application serial number) and send it to 16222

Example: BUET 877554

• Then write BUET<space>YES<space>PIN code (You will get a six-digit PIN code from the reply SMS) and send it to 16222

Fill Up the Online Application Form

You will get the application form on the official website of BUET. Interested candidates have to fill up the application carefully with valid information. After completing the application form and submit, you will get an Application serial number. This serial number will need for payment of the application fee. The applicant needs these to fill up the application form.

• Photo Size: (300X350) pixel (Max. 75KB).
• Signature Size: (300X80) pixel (Max. 20KB)

BUET Admit Card Download

After publishing the eligible applicant list, the eligible applicants can get the PDF card form by clicking on the “Download Admit Card” and visiting the university’s website. Then print it on white paper in A4 format.

• Admit Card can only be downloaded after filling out the Option Form.

For the different departments of the University’s five faculties, the electrical examination will be held in four shifts under the following two groups for four days.

1. “KA”- Engineering departments and Urban and Regional Planning department
2. “KHA”- Engineering departments, Urban and Regional Planning department, and Architecture department

There will be a 100 marks MCQ exam for the pre-selection exam. The details are given below.

Main Examination Subjects & Syllabus

For the different departments of the University’s five faculties, the electrical examination will be held under the following two groups on the same day.

1. “KA”- Engineering departments and Urban and Regional Planning department
2. “KHA”- Engineering departments, Urban and Regional Planning department, and Architecture department

There will be 400 marks on the written exam for the group “KA” and 650 marks on the written exam for the main exam. The details are given below.

How To Pay BUET Admission Fee

In BUET admission, paying the fee is very simple, and there is no hassle. You may pay the fee through the Sonali Bill/(নগদ)/bKash/Rocket App/Nexus Pay. BUET Admission Requirements (For Foreign Students)

Only 26 international students will be able to admit and study in an academic session. A maximum of 10 students from a single country and 5 students in a single department will be allowed.

BUET Admission Eligibility

Candidates having SSC and HSC or their equivalent examination (i.e., not GCE “O” and “A” level) must have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a minimum TOEFL score of 60. You will get all information in the attached notice below of this article about eligibility for admission to BUET.

BUET Admission Application Submission Procedure

The application for admission must be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s own country. It will be forwarded to the Ministry of Education of the Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. Then the application form will be forwarded to the Register, BUET.

Cost of Study

SAARC countries applicants will be charged as per the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh regulations for tuition and other fees. For non-SAARC countries, the student admission fee will be charged US$200 and the course registration fee US$50 per credit hour. All additional costs are the same as for Bangladeshi students.
