Requirements
Bachelor
A secondary qualification recognised as giving access to university-level study, with the mathematics and science prerequisites the chosen programme sets. English-taught programmes require IELTS Academic 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80 or Pearson PTE Academic 61, unless exempt. Animal Sciences runs a numerus fixus selection procedure with a fixed number of places.
Master
A relevant bachelor's degree meeting the specific master's programme's own grade and subject prerequisites.
Documents
Diploma and transcript of secondary (and, where relevant, higher) education, certified translation if not in Dutch or English, a passport copy, and an English test certificate no more than 24 months old unless exempt.
How to apply
- Register in Studielink for your chosen bachelor's or master's programme by the Studielink deadline (15 April for the international non-EU/non-EFTA track).
- Submit your diploma, transcript and English test result through the WUR Osiris application portal by 1 May.
- Animal Sciences applicants complete the numerus fixus selection procedure by 15 January instead.
- If admitted and from outside the EU/EEA, apply for a residence permit for study with WUR as your recognised sponsor.
- Pay the tuition invoice, due by 1 July for non-EU/non-EFTA nationals, and arrange housing and health insurance before enrolling.
English test waiver
Applicants who completed secondary education in Australia, Ireland, Canada (outside Quebec), New Zealand, the United Kingdom or the United States are exempt, as are those who scored well in English as an exam subject on specific recognised secondary diplomas.
