International freshman applicants use the same application, deadlines and review process as domestic applicants: early action by November 15 (non-binding) or regular decision by January 15, for fall entry. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit an accepted English proficiency test score from within the past two years, sent directly by the testing agency using Virginia Tech's CEEB code 5859, unless exempt.

- Official secondary school transcripts
- English proficiency test score (TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo English Test), sent directly by the testing agency
- USD 70 international application fee
- Financial documentation, requested after admission for the I-20
How to apply
- Apply by November 15 for early action (non-binding) or January 15 for regular decision, for fall entry.
- Submit official transcripts and, if required, an English proficiency score sent directly from the testing agency using CEEB code 5859.
- Pay the USD 70 international application fee.
- Receive an admission decision from the college you applied to.
- If admitted, submit financial certification to receive the I-20 and apply for an F-1 student visa.
