University of Waikato Admission Requirements 2027

The University of Waikato, based in Hamilton, charges international undergraduates from about NZD 32,400 to NZD 48,345 a year depending on subject. Applications are processed on an ongoing basis throughout the year rather than to one fixed deadline.

Requirements

Bachelor

Secondary schooling equivalent to New Zealand's University Entrance standard is required. The English requirement is IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with at least 21 in writing, PTE Academic 50 with no communicative skill below 42, or Duolingo English Test 105 with no band below 95.

Documents

Certified secondary transcripts and certificates, English test results, and passport identification. A paid tuition receipt is required before a New Zealand student visa application.
