University of Sheffield Admission 2027: Deadlines, Requirements, Fees for International Students

Sheffield takes undergraduate applications through UCAS on the standard national calendar: 15 October 2026, 18:00 UK time, for Medicine and Dentistry, and 13 January 2027, 18:00 UK time, for equal consideration on every other course. English language ability is confirmed directly on Sheffield's own page at IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each component as the general baseline, though the university notes individual departments can set a higher requirement.

Sheffield's overseas (international) tuition fee for 2026-27 entry is confirmed directly on the university's own tuition fees page: new full-time overseas undergraduates are charged between GBP 25,000 and GBP 32,100 a year for the great majority of courses, with Medicine and Dentistry priced separately and well above that range, at GBP 47,575 a year for Medicine and GBP 50,925 a year, the highest confirmed figure, for Dentistry. The fee a student pays in their first year stays the same for each year of that course, though changing course partway through can move a student to a different, possibly higher, rate.

A-levels, the International Baccalaureate or another equivalent qualification at the level the specific course states, and English language ability of IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each component, unless the specific course sets a higher level.
