Requirements
Bachelor
- Homologation of the secondary certificate to the Spanish Bachillerato, or UNEDasiss accreditation where that route applies.
- Apply through Distrito Unico Andaluz, the shared admission system for Andalusia's public universities.
- Programme-specific language requirements set by the individual degree.
Master
- A degree that is homologated, officially recognised as equivalent to a Spanish Grado, or, for some non-EHEA degrees, accepted by the university as Grado-equivalent without formal homologation.
- Apply through Distrito Unico Andaluz in the phase that matches the applicant's qualification type; an initial phase is reserved for foreign nationals with an EHEA or accepted non-EHEA degree.
- For programmes with an English requirement, a certificate at CEFR B2 or higher; the university's own table sets this at IELTS 5.5 to 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 72 to 94.
Documents
Passport, NIE or EU residency certificate as applicable; homologation, equivalence or UNEDasiss documentation (bachelor applicants); degree diploma or official certification of having completed the degree, full academic transcript, and a certificate stating the minimum passing grade and maximum possible grade at the home institution (master applicants); all non-Spanish documents officially translated into Spanish; and a language certificate matching the specific programme's requirement.
How to apply
- Confirm the bachelor access route (homologation or UNEDasiss) or, for master's, which equivalence route applies to the prior degree.
- Start homologation, equivalence or UNEDasiss steps as early as possible given multi-month processing times.
- Apply through Distrito Unico Andaluz in the phase matching the applicant's situation.
- Submit the required documents, officially translated where needed, by the published deadline for the chosen phase.
- Accept the offer, pay the EUR 400 pre-registration deposit where applicable, then complete matricula and pay the remaining tuition within the published window.
- Use the acceptance and enrolment documents to apply for the Spanish national student visa.
English test waiver
The University of Seville's Instituto de Idiomas publishes its own convalidation table, part of the same Andalusian public universities' language-accreditation convention that UGR and other Andalusian universities use: IELTS 4 to 5 for B1, 5.5 to 6.5 for B2, and 7 to 8 for C1; TOEFL iBT 42 to 71 for B1, 72 to 94 for B2, and 95 to 120 for C1. The level a specific bachelor or master programme requires is set by the programme rather than as one fixed university-wide English minimum.
