The University of Lucerne charges CHF 815 a semester in total to a student who was resident in Switzerland or Liechtenstein when they obtained their entry qualification (a CHF 725 semester fee, CHF 70 examination fee and CHF 20 student-organisation contribution), and CHF 1,115 to a student who was not, adding a CHF 300 fee for educational foreigners on top of the same components; a joint degree programme in Religion, Economics and Politics instead adds a lower CHF 100 foreigner fee, for a total of CHF 915. Doctoral tuition is CHF 240 a semester for residents and CHF 340 for non-residents. The application fee is CHF 100, independent of study level and faculty, non-refundable and not transferable to another semester, with a further CHF 150 charged for an exceptionally accepted late application.
