How to apply
- Register with UCAS and choose Liverpool as one of up to five choices for undergraduate study, or apply directly online for a postgraduate taught course.

- Submit the UCAS application by 18:00 UK time on 13 January 2027 for 2027 entry to most undergraduate courses, or by 15 October 2026 for medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses; submit a postgraduate taught application for January 2027 entry by 18 December 2026 as an international applicant.
- Receive a decision; undergraduate offers are usually conditional on final grades.
- Meet the offer conditions, including the English language requirement.
- Apply for the Student visa, including the CAS issued once the place is confirmed unconditionally.
English test waiver
Liverpool's published minimum for undergraduate study, confirmed in its English Language Requirements policy statement, is IELTS 6.0 overall with no sub-test below 5.5. Many programmes ask for a higher score than this minimum, and clinical subject areas can ask for as much as 7.0 overall, so applicants should check the requirement for their specific course. In addition to the academic requirement, international students must separately meet the UK Visas and Immigration CEFR B2 knowledge-of-English standard for their visa.
