English test waiver
Exeter groups courses into English language profiles, A to G, and each programme page states which profile it uses. Profile B2, a commonly used profile confirmed directly on Exeter's own page, asks for IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no element below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 90 with minimums of 21 in each section, PTE Academic 67 with no communicative skill below 64, or Duolingo 120 overall with no sub score below 110. Other profiles used at Exeter set higher or lower levels, and test results must be dated within two years of the course start.
