International freshman applicants use the Common Application and the same two deadlines as domestic applicants: early action by November 15 or regular decision by January 15, for fall entry. English proficiency is required unless exempt, and scores must be on file to be considered for CU Boulder scholarships as well as admission. Tuition depends on the college of enrollment, not only on residency.

- Official secondary school transcripts
- English proficiency test score (TOEFL iBT, IELTS or Duolingo English Test), valid within two calendar years, unless exempt
- USD 70 international application fee
- Financial documentation, requested after admission for the I-20
How to apply
- Apply through the Common Application by November 15 for early action (decision by February 1) or January 15 for regular decision (decision by April 1), fall entry.
- Submit official transcripts and an English proficiency score if required.
- Pay the USD 70 international application fee.
- Receive an admission decision from CU Boulder and your specific college.
- If admitted, submit financial certification to receive the I-20 and apply for an F-1 student visa.
