Universiti Malaya Tuition Fees 2027 for International Students

Universiti Malaya is Malaysia's oldest and most internationally recognised public university, based in Kuala Lumpur. It admits international undergraduates through its Academic Services Department with a general IELTS 5.0 floor, and publishes whole-programme tuition fees that run from about RM 61,000 for humanities degrees to over RM 673,000 for its medicine and surgery programme.

UM publishes tuition as one whole-programme figure rather than a per-year rate, ranging from about RM 60,900 for programmes such as Bachelor of Arts (English), Anthropology and Sociology, or Islamic studies degrees, up to RM 673,200 for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Postgraduate tuition is published separately by the School of Graduate Studies and varies widely by programme; for example, UM's Study@UM fee documents list postgraduate master's programmes such as Artificial Intelligence or Cyber Security at roughly RM 48,100 for the whole programme. The RM 300 application fee is separate from tuition and is not refundable.
