Admission at a glance

Universidad de Montevideo's admissions for 2027 are open, and undergraduate programmes such as Chemical Engineering start in March 2027; the university does not publish an application deadline. The standard admission process consists of an interview, an aptitude test and delivery of documents. International applicants for a full degree provide a copy of a valid passport, their secondary school diploma and full transcript; documents from Hague Apostille countries need an apostille, and revalidation of secondary studies is granted by Uruguay's Board of Secondary Education. Full programmes are mostly taught in Spanish, with a few seminars and courses in English, and no Spanish or English test minimum for admission is published. Tuition is published for only one degree: the online Digital Business degree costs a fixed UYU 24,900 a month for four years, adjusted for inflation, and has no scholarships or discounts. The university offers merit and need scholarships of up to 90% of tuition, although their conditions are described for students in Uruguay.
