Tbilisi State Medical University, founded as the Tbilisi State Medical Institute in 1930, teaches Medicine and Dentistry in English and Russian and reports over 3,500 students from 84 countries. The English-medium Medical Doctor programme costs USD 8,000 a year, Dental Medicine USD 7,000, Pharmacy USD 3,500 and the American MD programme USD 13,500. In 2026 the first semester for English programmes starts on 5 October.
