Requirements

Undergraduate

Entry requirements are set by school and vary by programme; applicants progress from an O-Level (or equivalent) qualification onwards to their highest academic qualification, which is checked against the specific programme's prerequisites at application. Intakes run in February, April and September, and international applicants should apply at least nine weeks before their intended intake.

English language

Varies by school: Engineering programmes require IELTS 5.0. Bachelor of Business applicants can present MUET Band 3, CEFR Low B2, or an English-medium Pre-University qualification instead of IELTS. The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) requires IELTS 6.0, the highest published minimum. TOEFL and MUET are accepted alongside IELTS generally.

Documents

  • Passport valid for at least 18 months from admission (at least 27 months for Indonesian applicants on programmes two years or longer), all pages included
  • Academic transcripts and certificates from O-Level (or equivalent) onward
  • English language test result where the programme requires one
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Health declaration form

How to apply

  1. Choose a programme and, for international applicants, consult Taylor's International Student Recruitment (ISR) team.
  2. Submit the application through TOPAS with the required documents (passport, photograph, academic records, health form).
  3. Pay any programme fees due via Flywire.
  4. Receive the Letter of Acceptance (LOA).
  5. Apply for the electronic Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) through EMGS.
  6. Obtain a Single-Entry Visa if the applicant's nationality requires one.
  7. Complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before travelling.
  8. Undergo the mandatory post-arrival medical screening.
  9. Receive the Student Pass endorsement in the passport.

English test waiver

The minimum varies by school: engineering applicants need IELTS 5.0, Bachelor of Business applicants can instead present MUET Band 3, CEFR Low B2 or an English-medium pre-university qualification, and the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) sets the highest bar at IELTS 6.0. TOEFL and MUET are also accepted alongside IELTS.
