Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne Tuition Fees 2027

Since the autumn semester of 2025, EPFL bills two different rates. The standard total invoice is CHF 780 a semester: a CHF 730 tuition fee plus CHF 25 AGEPoly student-union membership, CHF 16 for sports facilities and CHF 9 for the social fund. Foreign students who move to Switzerland to study, and who are not otherwise exempt (Swiss nationals, and foreign students already resident in Switzerland before their studies for work, family or protection reasons, are excluded from the higher rate), instead pay a total of CHF 2,240 a semester: a CHF 2,190 tuition fee, tripled from CHF 730, plus the same CHF 50 in other fees. Students who started a master's programme before autumn 2025 are protected from the increase through transitional measures until they finish that programme. EPFL's bachelor entrance examination carries its own registration tax, CHF 150 for a foreign school-leaving certificate or CHF 50 otherwise, separate from the semester tuition.
