South East Technological University was formed from the merger of Waterford Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Carlow, serving the southeast of Ireland. Published non-EU undergraduate fees run from about EUR 13,500 to EUR 14,500 a year.

Requirements

Bachelor

A secondary school qualification recognised as equivalent to the Leaving Certificate, meeting the points and subject requirements of the chosen course.

Master

A relevant undergraduate honours degree, normally second class honours grade 1 or equivalent GPA.

Documents

Academic transcripts and certificates, and evidence of English language proficiency. A non-refundable EUR 35 application fee covers one application.

  2. Apply online through SETU's non-EU application system once the portal opens, in October the year before entry, paying the EUR 35 application fee.
  3. Submit transcripts, English test results and supporting documents before the deadline for your visa status.
  4. Receive a decision.
  5. Accept your offer and apply for your study visa if you need one.

English test waiver

Undergraduate minimum is IELTS 5.5 with no band below 5.0, TOEFL iBT 70, or PTE Academic 50. Postgraduate minimum is IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80 (or paper-based 575), or equivalent. SETU also accepts TIE, TOEIC, Trinity GESE/ISE and Cambridge exams.
