Requirements

Bachelor

An approved secondary qualification (A-Levels, IB, or an equivalent national school-leaving certificate) meeting SUTD's programme prerequisites, submitted with predicted or actual results, plus an English test score if the applicant's prior education was not conducted in English.

Master

A relevant bachelor's degree; SUTD's graduate programmes set their own criteria, published separately from the undergraduate cycle covered here.

Documents

Academic transcripts and certificates, English test score (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, SAT, ACT or C1 Advanced) submitted no later than two weeks after the application deadline if not already available, and a valid travel document.

How to apply

  1. Check the Other International Qualifications entry requirements on the SUTD admissions site.
  2. Submit the online application within the published window.
  3. Submit or follow up with an English test score within two weeks of the deadline if not already sent.
  4. Submit final results as they become available.
  5. Receive the admission decision.
  6. Indicate interest in the Tuition Grant on the application if seeking the subsidised rate; places are limited and merit-based for international students.
  7. Apply for the Student's Pass through ICA's SOLAR system once an offer is accepted.

English test waiver

SUTD requires applicants whose prior qualification was not taught in English to submit one of IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, SAT, ACT or C1 Advanced, but publishes no minimum passing score for any of them; scores are weighed together with the rest of the application, which is reviewed holistically rather than against a cutoff.
