Bachelor (honours) and BBA, session 2025-2026

Jagannath University runs its own admission test and is not part of the GST cluster. Candidates who passed SSC or an equivalent examination in 2022 or 2023 and HSC or an equivalent examination in 2025 could apply. The minimum combined SSC and HSC GPA was 7.50 for Unit A (science, life and earth sciences) with no result below 3.25; 6.50 for Units B (arts and law), C (business studies) and D (social science) with no result below 3.00; and 6.00 for Unit E (fine arts) with no result below 2.50. Some departments also set minimum HSC subject grades.

The merit score is out of 100: 72 marks from a multiple choice test, 10 from the SSC GPA and 18 from the HSC GPA, with 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer. Unit E adds a drawing test.

The application fee was BDT 1,000 for Units A to D and BDT 1,200 for Unit E, plus a 1 percent service charge. Applications ran from 20 November to 5 December 2025.

SSC and HSC (or equivalent) certificates and mark sheets, submitted during the online application. The exact document checklist for the current cycle is published on admission.jnu.ac.bd, which did not resolve during this research pass.

How to apply

1. Wait for Jagannath University's own admission circular, published on admission.jnu.ac.bd after that year's HSC results.
2. Apply online for one unit before the stated closing date and pay the fee that circular names.
3. Sit the written admission test for that unit.
4. Check the university's own merit list and complete enrolment if offered a seat.

English test waiver

Jagannath University does not publish an IELTS or TOEFL threshold for its bachelor's admission test on the pages this research could reach. Entry is decided by HSC results and the university's own written test.
