Requirements

Bachelor

Both the applicant and the applicant's parents must hold non-Korean nationality, and the applicant must be a high school graduate or expected graduate, or otherwise show an education level higher than high school. Korean Track applicants need TOPIK level 3 or above, or a King Sejong Institute intermediate-4A completion or higher; the English Track (IBT, ISE within the School of Global Convergence Studies) needs IELTS 5.5 or above, or TOEFL iBT 71 (4 or above on the redesigned scale from 21 January 2026), with native English speakers of specified countries exempt.

Master's and PhD

Inha's Graduate School publishes its own department-level admission requirements and deadlines separate from this undergraduate guide.

Documents

Application form, secondary school transcripts and (expected) graduation certificate, proof of the applicant's and parents' nationality, a language proficiency document (TOPIK or an English test as applicable), and, for Arts and Sports majors, a portfolio. Documents from outside Korea generally need translation and certification per Inha's own sample formats, and Chinese applicants submit an additional school information confirmation letter.

How to apply

  1. Confirm whether your intended major is Korean Track or, for IBT or ISE only, the English Track, and check the applicable language requirement.
  2. Create an account on Inha's International Center website or the government's Study in Korea portal, then complete the online application form.
  3. Pay the KRW 105,000 application fee online to finalise the application, since it cannot be modified afterwards.
  4. Print the completed application and submit it with required documents by post or in person to the Global Talent Recruitment Team by the document deadline.
  5. Check the result announcement on Inha's International Center website on the stated date; results are not sent individually.
  6. If admitted, pay tuition within the stated payment window and check your Global 1 Scholarship eligibility, since scholarship decisions follow document review with no separate application.

English test waiver

Inha's Korean Track (the great majority of majors) accepts TOPIK level 3 or above (level 4 or above at a Korean-language institute, or King Sejong Institute intermediate level, count as equivalent); its English Track, limited to the School of Global Convergence Studies' IBT (International Business & Trade) and ISE (Integrated System Engineering) programmes, taught entirely in English, instead requires IELTS 5.5 or above, or TOEFL iBT 71 (4 or above on the redesigned scale for tests taken from 21 January 2026), with native English speakers exempt from submitting a score.
