Bocconi University is a private, non-profit university in Milan specialising in economics, management, law and political science. Requirements

Bachelor

A secondary school diploma comparable to the Italian maturita, transcripts from the third-to-last and second-to-last school years, and at least one standardised test score (the Bocconi Test, SAT or an equivalent accepted test). English-taught programmes ask for B2-level English.

Master

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, transcripts, and normally a GMAT, GRE or Bocconi-administered test score depending on the programme. English-taught programmes ask for B2-level English.

Documents

Passport or ID (passport required for non-EU applicants), secondary school or bachelor's degree transcripts, at least one standardised test score report, an English certificate where required, a CV and motivation letter for most master's programmes, and, once admitted, the Universitaly pre-enrolment summary for applicants who need a study visa.

How to apply

  1. Choose a programme and apply online in the relevant session or round.
  2. Pay the non-refundable EUR 100 application fee and upload transcripts and test scores.
  3. Await the outcome on the published results date for that session or round.
  4. If admitted and a visa is needed, complete Universitaly pre-enrolment and apply for the study visa.
  5. Enrol, pay the first instalment, and travel to Italy in time for the start of term; register for the residence permit within eight days of arrival.

English test waiver

Bocconi accepts IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency, Duolingo English Test and PTE Academic for its English-taught programmes, all demonstrating B2-level English. The exact minimum score for each certificate is published on Bocconi's own admissions site at the time of application rather than fixed in this record.
