Requirements
Bachelor (first-stage higher education, General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy)
- Complete secondary education certificate with the subjects studied and the marks obtained, recognised in Belarus, with a notarised Russian translation.
- An invitation to study from BSMU when submitting documents.
- An admission interview in English or Russian (applicant's choice) that includes biology and chemistry questions.
- A medical examination in Belarus showing no contraindications to study, and a certificate of no HIV infection from the health authority of the applicant's country.
- Compulsory medical insurance for citizens of countries under the Belarusian visa regime.
Master
This record covers first-year admission to the medical, dental and pharmacy programmes. Master's admission for foreign citizens is handled under separate BSMU regulations.
Documents
- Passport and its copy translated into Russian in Belarus and notarised.
- Application addressed to the Rector, filled in through the online form.
- Original certificate of secondary education with subjects and marks, and a notarised Russian copy translation.
- Document confirming the mandatory medical examination in Belarus, issued by a Belarusian health organisation.
- Certificate of no HIV infection from the applicant's home health authority, with a notarised Russian translation.
- For minors: birth certificate and, if parents are absent, a power of attorney, each with a notarised Russian translation.
- Certificate from a preparatory faculty or department, if the applicant graduated from one.
- Four photographs, 3 x 4 cm.
- Receipt for the document review fee under the public offer, and a compulsory medical insurance contract for citizens of visa-regime countries.
- Copy of the BSMU invitation to study and a receipt for the interview fee, for applicants who did not study at a preparatory faculty in Belarus.
Documents in another language need a notarised Russian or Belarusian translation. The translation of the passport copy must be made and certified by a notary in Belarus.
How to apply
- Choose General Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy and the language of instruction, English or Russian.
- Obtain an invitation to study from BSMU if your country has a visa regime.
- Fill in the online application form and pay the document review fee (70 US dollars) and the interview fee (60 US dollars).
- Submit the documents to the admission committee between 13 July 2026 and 15 October 2026, while places remain.
- Take the interview in English or Russian, with biology and chemistry questions.
- The admission committee decides on enrolment after the interview.
- Pay the first tuition instalment by 16 September 2026 (students) and arrange the study visa and registration.
English test waiver
No IELTS or TOEFL score is set for the English-medium programmes. Foreign citizens who apply for the first year without a certificate from a Belarusian preparatory department take an interview in the language of instruction, which they may choose to be English or Russian, together with questions in biology and chemistry to test professional terminology. An applicant who chooses English is interviewed in English, and applicants pay a separate interview fee of 60 US dollars.
