TOEFL Requirement for Belgium Universities: Minimum Score

Typical minimum: 79 on the TOEFL iBT 0-120 scale, verified 15 September 2026.

KU Leuven and VUB ask for 79 and the University of Antwerp for 80. TOEFL moved to a 1 to 6 scale on 21 January 2026; VUB and Antwerp accept 4.5 on the new scale, and Ghent asks for at least 4.0, which its own conversion table places at 72 to 94 on the old scale. UCLouvain's engineering school asks for 87. KU Leuven accepts the Home Edition; Antwerp does not.
