IELTS Requirement for Hungary Universities: Minimum Score

Hungary sets no national minimum and the universities differ in kind, not just in number. The University of Pécs publishes 6.0 overall with no skill below 5.5 for its English taught programmes, and then tests English again by online test or interview for anyone applying to the Medical School or the faculties of Health Sciences, Pharmacy, or Engineering and Information Technology, whatever certificate they hold. The University of Debrecen publishes no test minimum at all: it runs its own entrance examination and oral interview, both in English, and states that the committee tests the applicant's English during the interview.
