How to Apply to Universities in Thailand (2027): Step by Step
Thailand's leading universities run international programmes taught in English, with Mahidol charging international master's students THB 35,000 to THB 150,000 a semester from 2026 and Chulalongkorn THB 76,000 to THB 106,000 a semester for international bachelor's programmes. Degree students travel on a Non-Immigrant ED Plus visa, applied for through the Thai e-Visa system, and may stay a year after graduating to look for work. Thailand's TICA scholarships fully fund selected master's students from countries including Bangladesh.
Choose a programme and check its intake. MUIC takes overseas applicants each trimester; graduate schools run one or two rounds a year.
Apply online to the university and pay the application fee (THB 2,500 for MUIC overseas applicants, THB 500 per programme at Mahidol's Faculty of Graduate Studies).
Meet the English requirement, for example TOEFL iBT 69 or IELTS 6 for MUIC.
Receive the admission and enrolment letters from the university.
Apply for a Non-Immigrant ED Plus visa through the Thai e-Visa system, with the university letters and financial evidence.
After arrival, the university applies to extend your stay; report your address every 90 days.
