At the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia's largest university, students from non-EU countries without a bilateral agreement pay tuition set by each faculty: EUR 3,400 a year for the English-taught Business and Economics bachelor's, EUR 4,000 to EUR 4,700 for most English-taught masters and EUR 14,700 for Computer and Information Science. Non-EU applicants apply early, from 18 February to 18 March in 2026, and a student residence permit costs EUR 50.

Degree study at the University of Ljubljana

Check the teaching language and fee in the faculty's price list; many bachelor's programmes need B2 Slovenian.
Apply in the first period. For 2026-27 non-EU bachelor's applicants applied from 18 February to 18 March 2026 through the national eVS portal; master's deadlines are set by each faculty.
Prove your English at the level the faculty asks, for example TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6 for School of Economics and Business masters.
Enrol by 30 September after selection and pay the tuition, usually in full at enrolment.
Apply for a temporary residence permit for study at a Slovenian embassy or consulate, or let the university file it, with proof of means and health insurance.
