How to Apply to Universities in Qatar (2027): Step by Step

Qatar University admits self-funded international undergraduates and charges non-Qatari students QAR 1,200 to QAR 1,700 per credit hour for undergraduate study from Fall 2026 and QAR 2,200 for most master's programmes. International undergraduates applied between 1 and 25 March 2026 for Fall 2026 entry, and top applicants can win an International Students Scholarship with free tuition, housing and a monthly allowance. The educational residence visa is issued free of charge.

Undergraduate study at Qatar University

  1. Check the college requirements, including English and mathematics minimums for non-Qatari applicants.
  2. Apply online in the international window. For Fall 2026 it ran from 1 to 25 March 2026, together with the student visa application.
  3. Pay the QAR 200 application fee online; it is not refundable.
  4. Apply for the International Students Scholarship by the same deadline if your school average is at least 95%.
  5. Submit visa and admission documents by the dates in the timeline.
  6. Receive the educational residence visa under Qatar University's sponsorship; it is issued free of charge.
