Scholarships to Study in Luxembourg (2027)

Luxembourg's national university charges international students the same low fee as everyone else, EUR 400 a semester on most bachelor's and master's programmes, with a few specialised masters costing up to EUR 2,500 a semester. There is one intake a year in September, applications for 2027-28 open on 1 February 2027, and non-EU applicants face a much earlier deadline than EU applicants. Students may work an average of 15 hours a week, and master's graduates can stay 12 months to look for work.

Luxembourg's state student aid, AideFi, is open to non-EU nationals only if they have lived in Luxembourg for at least five years or hold long-term resident status, so it is not available to students arriving from abroad. The University of Luxembourg runs its own Guillaume Dupaix International Excellence Scholarship for master's students from a list of target countries, paying EUR 5,763 a semester towards living costs and accommodation for 30 students a year, with a 2026 deadline of 24 March. A number of smaller, sponsor-funded scholarships are attached to particular faculties and programmes.
