Scholarships to Study in Austria (2027)

Austria runs a two-semester public university system with a nationally set non-EU tuition fee and a large share of English-taught master's programmes. Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck and Linz host the largest student populations, and admission for non-EU applicants turns on whether a prior qualification gives access to higher education in the country where it was awarded.

Austria's national scholarship and grant database, grants.at, is run by OeAD, the country's agency for education and internationalisation, and lists government, EU and institutional funding open to international students and researchers. OeAD also administers its own Ernst Mach Grant programme for incoming students and researchers. Individual universities publish their own scholarship pages separately; check each university's own site for programme-specific funding before relying on a general figure.
