How to Apply to Universities in Armenia (2027): Step by Step
Foreigners who study in Armenia can receive a temporary resident card, issued for one year with a one-year extension, for AMD 105,000 and within 30 days of applying. Armenian visas are issued for up to 120 days. At the American University of Armenia, international undergraduates pay AMD 4,450,000 to AMD 4,950,000 a year in the Fall 2027 cycle, and International Scholarships cover up to 50% of tuition.
Apply to the university (AUA undergraduate Fall 2027 applications open 1 November 2026; early deadline 15 January 2027).
Wait for the education ministry's approval of your admission, which AUA requires for enrolment.
Enter Armenia on a visa if your nationality needs one (maximum 120 days).
Apply for a temporary resident card as a student, with passport translation, medical certificate and supporting documents (AMD 105,000, up to 30 days).
