International freshman applicants must complete the application (ApplyTexas or Coalition Application) by December 1 for fall entry, the same deadline that applies to domestic applicants. Texas A&M reviews the self-reported academic record, required essays and, for international applicants, an English proficiency score. Texas A&M does not require SAT or ACT scores from international applicants who meet the English proficiency requirement through an accepted test.

How to apply

  1. Submit the application through ApplyTexas or the Coalition Application by December 1 for fall entry.
  2. Complete the Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record System (STARS) with coursework and grades.
  3. Take an accepted English test at least eight weeks before the deadline and have scores sent electronically to Texas A&M (TOEFL code 6003).
  4. Pay the USD 90 international application fee.
  5. After admission, submit financial certification and required documents to receive the I-20 and apply for an F-1 visa.
