Requirements

Bachelor

High school graduation certificate. English language certificate at CEFR B2 level (IELTS Academic 5.5, TOEFL PBT 513 or iBT 65 or CBT 183, or equivalent), or proof that prior education was in English, or an exemption for applicants from majority English speaking countries. An entrance exam in Mathematics or Physics for the engineering and computer science programmes, plus an admissions interview. Passport and photograph.

Master

Bachelor's diploma and transcript. English language certificate at CEFR B2 level (same test options as bachelor level) or equivalent proof/exemption. A subject based oral exam for Applied Genetics and for Atmospheric and Near Space Sciences. CV and motivation letter, passport and photograph.

Documents

Copy of passport, educational document (high school completion proof for freshman applicants, or bachelor's diploma and transcript for graduate applicants; for transfer students an academic transcript with course descriptions and information on mode of study), proof of English proficiency at CEFR B2 (international certificate, a letter confirming English as the language of instruction, or an institutional test result), a passport style photograph, and for graduate programmes a CV and motivation letter.

How to apply

1. Submit the online Freshman or Transfer Student e-application with required documents.
2. Application is reviewed within 5 to 10 working days (7 business days is also cited for feedback).
3. Sit any required entrance exam (English placement test, Mathematics or Physics exam, or subject based oral exam) and admissions interview.
4. Receive preliminary eligibility approval.
5. Pay the 150 USD non refundable application fee, or arrange notarized document translation independently.
6. Admissions office processes document translation, notarization and submission to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (up to 2 weeks).
7. Sign the enrolment agreement and pay tuition within 5 days.
8. Receive the official invitation letter and supporting documents.
9. Apply for a D3 study visa if required, then attend pre departure orientation and plan arrival.

English test waiver

Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency at CEFR level B2 to be eligible for English taught programs. This can be shown by an official international English test certificate (IELTS Academic Band 5.5, TOEFL PBT 513 or iBT 65 or CBT 183, or an equivalent Cambridge, BEC, BULATS, PTE, telc or Michigan certificate), by a confirmation letter from a school, college or university stating that English was the language of instruction, or by an online institutional English test aligned with CEFR B2 arranged through the admissions office. Applicants from countries where English is the primary language are exempt from this requirement.
