Trinity College Dublin's Global Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships give a one-time reduction in tuition fees to non-EU fee-paying students who already hold an offer to start a full-time postgraduate taught programme at Trinity. The award is worth between EUR 2,000 and EUR 5,000 depending on the applicant's home region, and is applied directly as a fee reduction rather than paid as a stipend. A number of course areas are excluded from the scheme, including business, engineering, natural sciences, and computer science and statistics, so applicants to those subjects should look at department-specific funding instead. Students from China are not eligible for this particular scholarship and are directed instead to Trinity's separate Claddagh Postgraduate Scholarship, which is reserved for Chinese applicants. Scholarships are assessed and awarded on a rolling basis, so early application is advised, and the final deadline depends on the applicant's region: 1 April for Central, North and South America, 1 May for Africa, 15 June for most other regions including South Asia, and 15 July for South East Asia and Oceania. Applicants apply after they already hold a conditional or unconditional offer for the relevant academic year, through Trinity's own online scholarship application system.
