The Science@Leuven Scholarship is run by KU Leuven's Faculty of Science for talented and motivated international students who want to pursue one of the faculty's eligible master's programmes. Applicants must show strong motivation for the chosen programme, supply two reference letters from internationally recognised professors, meet the faculty's academic admission requirements, and meet its English language requirement of a TOEFL score of at least 94 or an IELTS score of at least 7.0. Recipients are also expected to act informally as an ambassador for the programme, for example by speaking with prospective students from their own country or region. The scholarship is worth up to EUR 12,000 a year, covering full tuition fees, basic health insurance and a contribution toward living expenses, though the Science@Leuven Fund board decides the precise amount awarded to each recipient rather than granting the maximum automatically. The round for students starting in the 2026-27 academic year closed on 15 February 2026 and the Faculty of Science page shows that application period as closed, with no 2027-28 date yet published at the time of this research; based on past cycles a similar mid-February deadline is expected for the next round.
