What it is

Entry to Bachelor of Dental Surgery courses at government and private dental colleges and dental units of medical colleges in Bangladesh runs through a national test organised by the Directorate General of Medical Education. The paper follows the HSC science syllabus and the merit list combines the test score with SSC and HSC results as set out in the circular.

Who can apply

The eligibility rules mirror the MBBS test: a science background with minimum GPAs in SSC and HSC and a minimum grade in biology, within the pass years the circular allows.

How the cycle runs

The circular is published on the DGME site, applications are made online, the test is held on a single date, and results are followed by college allotment. The BDS cycle usually follows the MBBS cycle by a few weeks.

What this page will carry

This record is being verified against the current circular. Dates, fees and seat numbers for the 2026-27 session will appear here with the source once DGME publishes them.
