Scholarships to Study in Saudi Arabia (2027)

Saudi Arabia admits most international degree students on government-funded scholarships: a student visa requires a scholarship from a Saudi university, scholarship holders study without tuition and get a free residence permit, and applications go through the Ministry of Education's Study in Saudi platform, open from 16 September to 6 October 2026. KAUST separately funds every admitted graduate student with its Fellowship.

The Saudi Ministry of Education's scholarships for non-Saudi students are free of tuition and include health care, a financial reward on arrival, the benefits of fellow students and annual travel tickets. They cover all available specialisations except health and medical fields, with age limits of 25 for undergraduate, 30 for master's and 35 for doctoral study. Applications go through the Study in Saudi platform, open for the second semester of 2026 from 16 September to 6 October 2026. KAUST's Fellowship funds its admitted MS and PhD students in full, with no separate application.
