Scholarships to Study in Iraq (2027) for International Students
Foreign students in Iraq's Kurdistan Region receive a residency card from the Ministry of Interior, valid for six months or one year and renewable, after health tests and with support from their educational institution; it is issued in five to seven days. At the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani, international undergraduates pay IQD 4,500,000 to IQD 9,500,000 a year depending on their school results, and Spring 2027 applications close on 30 January 2027.
At AUIS, a built-in scholarship reduces tuition for international students according to secondary school results, and the AUIS Alumni Scholarship, open to all backgrounds, covers 50% of first-year tuition (IQD 1,750,000) for students scoring 90% or more.
