Degree study in Belarus
- Choose a university and programme and check the language of instruction (for example BSMU's English-medium General Medicine or BSUIR's English-medium first degree programmes).
- Apply to the university. BSMU asks for an online application, a document review fee of 70 US dollars and an interview fee of 60 US dollars, with documents accepted from 13 July 2026 to 15 October 2026 while places remain. BSUIR takes application documents by e-mail and lists 1 October 2026 as its 2026 deadline for first degree and Master's programmes.
- Take the admission interview in the language of instruction. BSUIR states that no IELTS or TOEFL certificate is required for English-medium programmes.
- Get an invitation to study. The educational institution issues it and it must be agreed with the citizenship and migration unit; it is the visa support document for a short-term study visa.
- Apply for the entry visa at a Belarusian embassy or consulate (60 euro consular fee; decision within 5 working days), or at Minsk National Airport where the rules allow.
- Register on arrival within ten days at your place of stay (free in electronic form for those who entered through border checkpoints).
