Rotary Peace Fellowship 2026: Deadline, Eligibility, Benefits

Rotary Peace Fellowships fund up to 170 leaders a year to study peace and conflict resolution at one of eight university-based Rotary Peace Centers worldwide, through either a master's degree or a one-year professional certificate. Funding covers tuition, room and board, travel, and internship or field-study costs. Applicants need at least three years of relevant work experience and must not be Rotarians or closely related to one.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship funds leaders with experience in peacebuilding and development to study at one of eight Rotary Peace Centers hosted by universities around the world, through either a master's degree program lasting 15 to 24 months or a one-year professional development certificate that combines coursework with a nine-month social change initiative in the fellow's own community. The Rotary Foundation awards up to 170 fellowships a year across both tracks. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent, have at least three years of relevant full-time professional experience in peace, conflict resolution or related development fields, and be proficient in English since coursework is delivered in that language. Active Rotarians, Rotaract members who also belong to Rotary, staff of Rotary entities and certain close relatives of Rotary members are not eligible to apply. Funding covers full tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation to and from the host center, and internship or field-study expenses connected to the program. Applications are submitted through the fellow's local Rotary district, which nominates a limited number of candidates each cycle, so prospective applicants should contact a nearby Rotary club or district well before any deadline. The master's round for the 2027-28 intake closed 15 May 2026; based on past cycles, the next application window is expected to open around February 2027.
