Courses covered
One notice covers admission to all government, autonomous and private nursing and midwifery institutions for three courses: the four-year B.Sc. in Nursing, the three-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery, and the three-year Diploma in Midwifery.
Who can apply
Applicants must be permanent citizens of Bangladesh who passed HSC or equivalent in 2023, 2024 or 2025 and SSC or equivalent in 2021, 2022 or 2023, with no more than three years between the two.
- B.Sc. in Nursing: SSC and HSC in the science group, a combined GPA of at least 6.50, no examination below 3.00, and at least GPA 2.50 in HSC Biology.
- Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery, Diploma in Midwifery: SSC and HSC in any group, a combined GPA of at least 6.00, no examination below 2.50.
At government institutions up to 15 percent of B.Sc. and nursing diploma seats are for male students; private institutions may admit men to up to 20 percent of their approved seats. The Diploma in Midwifery is open to women only. One percent of seats are reserved for small ethnic groups.
The test
The B.Sc. and the diplomas have separate 100-mark multiple-choice papers of 1 hour 15 minutes.

The pass mark is 40. Selection is on national merit out of 150: SSC GPA multiplied by 5 (up to 25), HSC GPA multiplied by 5 (up to 25) and the test score (up to 100). At government institutions the college is decided by merit rank and the candidate's order of preference; at private institutions the governing body approves admission in merit order.
Dates and fee for 2025-2026
The notice was issued on 7 January 2026. Applications ran online from 12 to 31 January 2026, with fees paid by 1 February through a Teletalk prepaid mobile: BDT 700 for the B.Sc. in Nursing and BDT 500 for either diploma. Admit cards were downloadable from 22 to 24 February, and the test was held on 27 February 2026 from 10:00 to 11:15 am.
