About Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University

Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University is a leading public agriculture country located at the center of the capital on 86.92 acres (35.19 ha). It was initially established as a Bengal Agricultural Institute (BAI) on 11 December 2038, and finally, in 2011, it was upgraded as a university and then named Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. Now it has been playing a  great contribution to agricultural research and development (R&D).

Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself has laid the foundation stone. About 5700 graduates plus 600 postgraduates completed their studies from here and played a significant contribution to the development of the country’s agricultural system and agro-based economy.

Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Admission 2024-25

First of all, you should know about the admission notice. You know an integrated admission process will be integrated with the 7 agricultural universities in the 2024-25 academic year. You will get detailed information about the admission via the following circular.

SAU Application Requirements

  • Those who have passed the Science department in HSC/equivalent 2023-24 and SSC/equivalent in 2021-22, including Geology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math, are only eligible for admission.
  • In SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations, candidates must have a minimum grade point of 3.0 individually in SSC/equal and HSC/equivalent.
    The students who have passed the “O” & “A” levels must pass 5 subjects in the “O” level and 2 subjects in Science at the “A” level. And must obtain a minimum of 3.50 GPA  in each level and a total of 8.00 GPA. For details, pay attention to the below image.

SAU Admission Application Process

  • Visit the website www.admission.agri.org.
  • According to the admission guide, you have to fill up the application form online.
  • You have to provide your mobile no. Then you get pin/login, password, and admission related all the information to this number.  Here is the detailed information.

SAU General & Reserved Seats

In the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, there is a total of 704 seats for undergraduate students. There are 620 general seats among the total seats, and the remaining are the reserve seats.

SAU Application Duration & Fees

Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University’s application duration is from May to June 2024, and for the application, you have to pay 1000 TK as application fees. For candidates who do not get a chance to sit for the admission test, the rest of the money, 700 TK, will be sent to their account after deducting the application fee of Rs. 300.

Admit Card Download

Admit card is now available on the site. To download the admit card, visit admission-agri.org and log in providing your password and User ID. Then you will get the admit card.

SAU Written Test Date and Mark Distribution

The written exam will be taken place on July 2023 from 11:30 to 12:30 at 7 Agricultural Universities simultaneously. There will remain 100 marks MCQ questions for the applicants. There will be questions in laughter level English – 10, Zoology – 15, Botany – 15, Physics – 20, Chemistry – 20, and Mathematics – 20. For each error, the 0.25 mark will be deducted.
